Day 11 | January 19
This is the super sick shirt I bought today. I wore it to class right after buying it and obviously, I got a ton of compliments. :)
Day 10 | January 18
After my last salsa class today, I went out with Zadka and Ethan (from Colby College) to this Mediterranean place for food and drinks. Crystal, Kelly and Ramana met up with us there. We had falafels and they were fucking delicious. I also got a Cuba Libre (AKA: rum and coke) and it was probably the strongest drink I’ve ever had in my life.
(This place was so good and cheap that I suggested it to a bunch of people at school today, and we just went there for food and drinks again.)
Day 9 | January 17
On our first day of school at ACLAS, we all got these bags. (There are a couple of different designs. Some of them are super colorful, and at first I wished I´d gotten a colorful one too.) But now I love mine; I think it´s absolutely adorable. It´s what the indegenous people of Ecuador use. I use mine everday as my bookbag. Everyone from my program is going to Otavalo on Friday, which is the indegenous town. They have an indegenous market and I am so excited to buy a ton of indegenous clothes (like a poncho!) and other stuff.
Day 8 | January 16
Over the weekend Chelsea taught me how to fishtail braid. I´m not very good at it, but I think it´s pretty cute. :) (I´m currently wearing my hair in fishtail braid pigtials. It is quite girly.)
Day 7 | January 15
This is my cute Ecuadorian pen that I got the second day I was here that I use all the time during class. (And you can also see my four dollar french manicure.)
Day 6 | January 14
After our hike on Cotopaxi, the world´s tallest volcano, we all snoozed on the bus ride home.
Day 4 | January 12
Before class, we were split into five groups and had to do a city tour. We were given specific locations to go to and take pictures at. This is the first one we took as a group (minus Mallori) in front of the stadium (which you actually can’t really see…). Our destination was el centro (which is the historic center of the city) and it was gorgeous and I want to go back!
